Day 39 and 40

Another really good day at school and camp, Day 39! After I picked Josh up after camp (van driver said camp folks told her he had a great time with camp but had a rough time getting into the van - Josh's regular aide/counselor wasn't there and he didn't want to get into the van until the driver and the van aide said, "OK, Bud, let's get going!" and then he got on without any problem, although he started swinging at the aide once on the van - he calmed down in a minute or so) we went to Gramma and Boompah's to plan our vacation next week. We were having the darnedest time finding someplace to stay in Wisconsin that it took a long time before we ate dinner. By then, Josh was really tired and didn't want to come to the table - had a PNES but then, as usual, just got up and ate his dinner. I decided we should just go home after eating, and we would talk more about the vacation today. So, we got in the car and came home. Josh said he wanted something to drink, so he had his NV and his meds. I went to put his camp shirt into the wash and by the time I came back up from the basement, he was sound asleep on the couch! One tired pup! Fortunately, Mom and Dad called and said one of the places we had contacted to stay in WI called back and they were available! Yeah!! So, we have a vehicle to ride in (Dad arranged for a van to rent) and a place to stay up near Horicon - central to the family reunion on the 18th, and to places to see for the rest of the time. Next Friday - VACATION!!! Yeah!!!

Josh goes to a Friday Field Trip today - Terrific Treehouses. They are playgrounds designed to be like treehouses but are handicapped accessible, even the highest points of the camp. It should be fun, and interesting, to see how he does with all that. After two playgrounds, they're going to a pool - should also be interesting. I spoke with someone the other day about the pool and she said they know Josh now, and they may just hang in the shade and do the squirt bottles with him. Someday, I'd really like to get him back into a pool! He's just so scared of falling again!

So, Day 40 begins!
